We were honored to welcome representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), Australian High Commission, Bangladesh, during their recent visit to the AYAT College of Nursing & Health Sciences (ACNHS) and AYAT Care Training Institute on November 2. The day featured warm interactions through Campus Visit & Lab Visit sessions that brought together students, faculty, and our esteemed guests.
The ILO team was represented by Mr. Max Tunon, Country Director; Ms. Tanjilut Tasnuba, Senior Programme Officer; and Ms. Anne Drong, National Project Coordinator. From the DFAT delegation, we were pleased to host Mr. Syed Haider, First Secretary and Head of DFAT, alongside Mr. Asif Kashem, Senior Manager, Gender, Governance & Social Protection Lead.
Engaging in open dialogue, the visiting delegates discussed with our students their ambitions, skills development pathways, and employment prospects across both the domestic and international care and nursing sectors. The conversation also shed light on ensuring quality jobs, promoting inclusion, and empowering future professionals in caregiving roles.
Such collaborations pave the way for globally competent healthcare professionals who are ready to serve with skill, compassion, and confidence.
