AYAT College of Nursing and Health Sciences (ACNHS) successfully convened its Governing Body Meeting on 9 June 2026 at the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Md. Nadim Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka.
The meeting focused on key institutional priorities, including the enhancement of nursing education standards, student development through extracurricular engagement, faculty recruitment and retention strategies, admission planning and procedures for the 2025–2026 academic session, and the continued growth and advancement of the college.
The meeting was attended by esteemed members and representatives, including:
• Dr. Mohammad Shahin Khan, Professor, Institute of Social Welfare and Research, University of Dhaka
• Dr. Gawsia W. Chowdhury, Professor, Department of Zoology, University of Dhaka
• Ms. Farzana Mannan, Joint Secretary (Medical Education-1), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare
• Mr. Imran Chowdhury, Chief Operating Officer, AYAT Education
• Ms. Laila Karim, Programs Director, AYAT Education
• Mr. Imtiaz Ahammed, Head of Operations, AYAT Education
• Ms. Taslima Begum, Principal, ACNHS
Senior management officials and faculty members also participated in the discussion, contributing valuable insights toward the institution’s future direction.
The Governing Body reaffirmed its commitment to fostering academic excellence and nurturing skilled, compassionate, and socially responsible nursing professionals to serve the healthcare needs of the nation.
